My goodness, I didn't think anyone would ask...thank you.
It was very strange I can tell you. First, I couldn't get my car running so I showed up at the appointment a little late. The doctor forgave me though. He said it gave him time to update his records.
I sat down in this very intimidating office. You know the ones with dark wood and a huge desk between me and him. He asked me to tell him my story. I nearly had a panic attack right there. My story? Anyway, I went through my history while he sat on the other side of that sea of wood looking over his glasses now and then and scribbling in a notebook the whole time. It was a 30 minute consultation and I was nervous the whole time. He said it was natural and that I should give it some time to get comfortable with him. I have another appointment in 2 weeks.
He left me on the meds I am on now because he wants to review his notes before suggesting a change. That makes me nervous too.
Well, on the whole, I'd have to say, it went rather well. He is nice and quite attractive. Very clinical though. I'm not sure if I'll be able to open up to him about 'things' but I'm willing to give it a good try.
We'll see.
