Take Effexor XR 150 mg. in the morning and Klonopin 0.5 mg. (down from 1 mg.) at bedtime. Depression is successfully managed. My problem is I am moderately anemic (hgb. 9.6, hct. 29) due to excessive blood loss during menstruation (age 41). I have been placed on iron 3 x a day and prescribed birth control pills. In the past I have tried every b/c formulation and I always get the same result, a strange sensation that I can only characterize as "nervousness". To the point where I just want out of my body. Yesterday, I had to resort to taking 0.25 mg. of Xanax, and felt much better. (I never have to take Xanax otherwise). But, I woke up with an anxiety attack that I got under control within 5 or 10 minutes and fell back to sleep.
Is this "nervousness" something that may resolve over time? I wonder if the anxiety attack was caused by the Xanax as well? I had to stop using Xanax in the past because I experienced "rebound". Any ideas or suggestions?
