Everyone reacts so differently it is no way to tell. The mode of action of these psychoactive meds is unknown. I repeat unknown. I find myself frustrated by seemingly knowledgable well intentioned folks discoursing on theories on modes of action of various meds as if it was fact, but thats just not how it is. It would be nice if these theories were true. Some might be correct, partially correct or totally wrong. It just is not known. Relatively little is spent to aggressively answer these unknowns. More seems to be invested in recycling variations on the same types of meds. Understanding seems not to be a priority. Some of these old theories have been around 50 years and are not closer to being found factual. Oh well.
> I am on 20mg clomipramine. I have been on this stuff for 2.5 months and was wondering, does my nightly dose of 20mg have the ability to change my mood within a few hrs/mins? I was under the assumption that, the medicine was accumulative and that, the total amt. in the blood actually was responsible for behaviour changes?
