In reply to memory loss and trouble forming sentences, posted by Jon Mey on January 26, 2001, at 22:24:26

Whenever I increased the dosage of effexor I had a very difficult time carieing on conversations with people. I could not say 3 or 4 words back to back without having to pause. Also, whenever I get into a long sentence I forgot what the hell I was talking about in the first place.
Not only does effexor affect my speech in that I cannot form sentences I also have "cotton mouth" or dry mouth. This side effect makes it difficult for me to pronounce sylables that involve my lips touching.

These 2 side effects are very, very bothersome for me as my job requires that I talk to people all day long.

Am taking 375mg
