You did not mention if you were monitoring your HR during exercise. This is VERY important and it determines whether you are not working hard enough, working your muscles or burning the max amount of calories. It is very simple. To take your HR during exercise, find your pulse on your wrist or neck and take it for fifteen seconds. Then, multiply your HR by four and you get your HR per minute. If your hands are occupied, then stop the exercise and take your HR. If you want to burn the max calories per exercise session you MUST take your HR. Remember the equation to find your target HR. 220 - age x 0.6 = target HR. I made an error with the equation last night.

It is only your first week so I will keep things simple but limit any bread intake including biscuits. You can go nuts on the coffee though as it speeds up your metabolism. There are reasons why you should not eat bread and there are ways to speed up your metabolism even more but like I said, for now we will keep things simple. Good luck!
