Yet,the time and the conversation going around and around in your head has been so exhausting and draining as you prepare yourself for the worse case scenario.....sad to say that I continue to do this and I am old as dirt, harry!
It would appear that you dread so much returning to your "career" all because you are spinning these fears around and around in your mind. It may be that one or all are valued concerns OR that one or all may not be of any concern, because you have taken so much time up in your leisure fretting about them to the point of immobilizing yourself. Please,I don't mean to demean any of your fears for I have so many begetting babies in my own mind....I have generations living and thriving here!!! The long and the short of it all is that your doctor may be correct in that you need to "just do it". You can walk away from the job in time should you need to,but first go forth and accomplish then set some sort of goal for yourself to create and set in motion the freedom of doing your own creative, career thing.
My bet is upon you, harry b. You have that drive, that spark to "ignite" your life,'cause your words say this.....It's hot and humid here in coastal NC. Please do try to send some of that rain and cooler temps our way.
Later.........JudithC
