From a new person

I'm a new name on the board, and it's nice to be welcomed. It was quite obvious to me, and I'm sure others who are new to the site, that you all know each other quite well. It does seem a bit odd; like you are at a party of a friend of a friend. You "hear" everyone talking...and from your year's of psycho crud, you have your own opinion, but you feel a bit awkward speaking up. I know my first try at inputs here have been very "unemotional". How can you be emotional with a group of people you have just come in contact with? It does make you feel comfortable reading threads that are exactly what you've been through though. However, it does sort of feel like you are reading someone else's mail.
How often do most of you check in? I could tell be the submissions that there are some of you in Europe and Australia (yes Aussie, the Sierra's are part of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range here on the California/Nevada border in Northern California).
I seemed with some that were at a critical point with their meds, someone had to check in that night, or they would be greatly dissappointed.
I told my husband about this site. Even read to him a few of the threads he would "understand. He thinks I'm even more psycho getting on a chat line with others regarding my psych condition (he is, though, extremely supportive). Whatever it takes to make me feel better. Glad to be able to read about others who can understand what I mean by depressed, or why I would want to die during a panic attack (ok, that was a bit more open).
Since most of you are familiar with each other...obvious since you send messages to specific people on the board, perhaps you could keep and eye out for a new name. Kind of like a handshake when you go to that party of a friend of a friend. Thanks in advance for being supportive! Jennifer

I applaud your strength and trust and I hope we can share more in the future. Take care all of you and thank you.

I have learned a great deal from all of you and for the most part my questions have been answered. I hope in some small way I'll be able to contribute to the discussions too.
