Harry--
Sorry to hear that the Celexa pooped out on you. Incredibly frustrating, isn't it, when a med opens a window to a brighter life only to slam it in your face? At least you know it's *there*. What one thing opened, something more, or something else can open again, for longer.
I was hit by nausea (and other side effects) when I began Efexor XR; every time I increased the dose, the side effects returned. The higher the dose, the longer the SEs lasted. Do let your pdoc know about the nausea, tho, because there are a number of meds which can help relieve it--phenergan and compazine are both available as suppositories if it's hard to keep anything down. And, if you're not averse to under-the-counter substances, mj is a favored Tx for the nausea of chemotherapy, which can be as bad as it gets.
Others here with more psych med experience may have some specific suggestions, but, is it possible that you need to add an augmenter or "stabilizer" Rx to the Celexa 40mg. to help its effects last longer?
Hope Monday goes well; keep us posted!
Well wishes--medlib
