Hey, Bonnie, how are you doing? Didn't I write to you before? I hope so, since otherwise my memory is going...
As for your depression, keep in mind that at 15 you're a prime candidate for atypical depression. If you read up on the subject, the symptoms for adults over 20 and those for adolescents and those for children are all kinda different.
The main part is, though, to get into the habit now of knowing how you feel, and not letting others tell you. That means that if you're feeling better, jump for joy, don't wonder if someone else knows better than you do what you are experiencing.
As for the idea of killing the beast, I like it. My depression is like a living thing, something that is fighting to survive, and doing all sorts of things to stop me from killing it. It sometimes helps me to look at it as a living thing that I can fight strategically. The Beast of Darkness can be fought by shining light on it.
I don't know if my little image of it helps, but at least it's another weapon for your arsenal.
I'm glad you're feeling better, and hope it gets better still.
