It is possible that the crying is actually a symptom of the partial return of depression. If so, this would probably disappear with a return to the higher dosage. I don't think she will find a dosage of Celexa that will both reduce her weight and sufficiently treat her depression.

I really don't know too much about SSRIs and weight-gain. I think Prozac may be the least likely to cause this. Check-out some of the numerous archived threads about this topic. They may provide some alternative strategies to combat weight-gain.
