Since I was also taking Depakote when I first began Zyprexa, it's hard to know which drug caused me to gain 30 lbs. I think the Depakote was more likely the cause of my weight gain. I began at 2.5 mg and then increased it to 5 mg within the past year. I didn't want to take it at first because I thought it was just for schizophrenics. My doctor straightened me out about that not being true. I can't think of any negative side effects I've had. Zyprexa

It's hard to say what it does specifically because I also take Lamictal, Wellbutrin, Celexa and Klonopin. Combining these meds makes it difficult to know which one does what anymore.Hi All, Thanks for the response. My son is taking 5mgs zyprexa and has chest muscle spasms and headakes so I wanted to know if any one else experienced these side effects. Thanks again for the response.
