I really truly believe in my heart that I'm a normal person, that I have no disorders whatsoever. Please tell me you agree.
I can't handle the possibility of having any disorder, especially BPD.
I really truly believe that I'm a good person. I can't handle anything that tells me otherwise.
I do best when I truly think there is nothing wrong with me.
I can't handle the thought of having problems. Please tell me I'm normal even if you don't think so. I just need to hear that I don't have problems. Having problems is distressing me. I truly believe I'm a completely normal person.
I *need* to be a completely normal person. I can't handle anything else.
I need someone to say, "There, there, Deneb, of course you're a normal person."
Comfort me. :-(

I'm a little sad. I'm going to try to express it without getting all triggery and upsetting people.
I wonder what triggered me this time?
I was so happy just a few days ago. I wonder what happened? Nothing really happened. I guess it's just a mystery.
Maybe there's all sorts of subconscious stuff going on.
Maybe I'm not really sad. I don't really feel hopeless or anything like that. Maybe I just think I'm feeling a little sad because I'm no longer extremely happy.

Deneb,
You are a wonderful person:-) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know you don't know me that well, but all I have seen (or shall I say read) of you thus far has been "normal" and positive. "NORMAL" who decides what is normal? I have afriend who puts chips in her sandwiches, I don't think that is normal but it does'nt make her a bad person. If I was to determine the worldwide definition of "normal" you would fall smack dab in the middle of the normalest part of the definition. We are all normal in our own special way (hhhhhmmmmmmmmm contradiction in terms OH WELL). If we were all PERFECTLY "normal" we would be bored out of our skulls=@)
Best of health,
Laura

You cheered me up a bit! :-)
LOL, I think you're right about that "normal" thing. Who knows what it means?

Are you sad, maybe, b/c Dr. Bob said not to give him a present? I know it was something you were putting a lot of excited energy into.
I think you have a lot of GREAT qualities, Deneb! You seem energetic, fun, dedicated, kind to your family and pets. I think the word "normal" is a really awful word, because in my opinion there IS no "normal" in our society. We just ARE. :)
I wish that society in general was more supportive of mental illness, because SO many of us suffer from it in one form or another, and the stigma attached in many countries makes us feel ashamed of it, even when we know we shouldn't have to feel that way.
Please don't label yourself as "normal" or "not normal." Just try to do what it takes to get yourself feeling good and stable. If that includes therapy and meds, that's OK, in my opinion. So many of us have problems, and it's OK to have them. We just need to figure out the best way to handle them so we can live the best life possible for ourselves.
At least that's how I feel on my optimistic days (of which today is one.) Have a great day, Deneb! :)

I know this is off topic, but I LOVE to put chips in my sandwiches! mmmmm.....yummy. Deneb, have you tried this? It's SO tasty. A few doritos or potato chips in the middle of a sub - it's pure taste delight. A bit messy, yes, but quite good. :)

No, I'm not sad because of that. I thought he did a really good job of telling me not to make him a gift without hurting my feelings.
> I think you have a lot of GREAT qualities, Deneb! You seem energetic, fun, dedicated, kind to your family and pets.
Thanks JenStar! I think you have great qualities too. You're supportive, calm and collected, wise, fun and have interesting ideas.

I wish I could say I'm not ashamed, but I am. I can't even start to associate that word, m***** illness with myself in any way. I just can't.

I think that's a very good way to think about this subject.

Another combination I like is chocolate milkshake and McDonald's fries, which many people think is gross. Most of the time I prefer ketchup with the fries, but every once in a while, dipping one into a milkshake is quite tasty. Kind of like a chocolate covered pretzel...sort of.

lol! Y'all are grossin' me out, girlfriend! Remind me not to go to McDonald's with you, 'K?But I had a clerk years back who dipped her fries into mayonaise. I thought that was pretty yucky, too.
Ah, well. GG and I talked about something related last night, and you know what? I just do that anorexic thing where I cut calories every little place I can -- like never putting butter on veggies or potatoes, drinking my coffee black to avoid the calories in milk, etc. Maybe that's all it is.
When I was little, though, I used to like maple syrup on my breakfast sausage. Or maybe that was just because the taste reminded me of my grandmother's house at Sunday breakfast, when she made huge piles of palascintas. Lovely breakfasts.

I'm going to try that too JenStar! I'm not afraid to try new food combinations! It's been eons since I've had a McDonald's milkshake. What flavour do you use? I want to do it right. ;-)
I'm going to try raw oysters with Larry in Toronto. ;-)

A lot of people here in Ottawa dip fries into mayo. I've tried it a couple of times. It's not half bad if you don't think about literally dipping greasy fries into more oil. LOL

I don't think I could drink my coffee black! I don't really like coffee in the first place so I need lots of cream and sugar.

> When I was little, though, I used to like maple syrup on my breakfast sausage.I've never done that before, but I tried McDonald's "McGriddle" where they have sausage on a maple syrup flavoured "bun". I didn't like it, but then again it was McDonald's LOL. I think I'll try that maple syrup sausage thing one of these days. It sounds good in theory. ;-)

I htink I'd try raw oysters, as long as there were heavily flavored with something. I might need a few beers first, though. :)
Any flavor milkshake will work, but my fave is chocolate. My hubby thinks it's disgusting, though!
Speaking of McDonalds, have you watched the movie SuperSize Me? We did, and at first we said we were never going to eat McDonald's again, but now that the images have faded from our minds we still go there now and then.

I know, like I need *more* starch and carbs and calories - the bread alone isn't enough. Jared would NOT approve, I'm sure. ;)
