Don't know where to post ****possible trigger****

Posted by kamikazi_ladybug on May 21, 2004, at 9:55:04

I'm lonely in a house full of people. I afraid in a place I know I am safe. I can't leave the house because I'm afraid of people that I don't know. I'm SI even when I know its bad. My meds are "supposedly" working. I call the dr. tell him whats going on, he increases doses. I can't eat all the time..thanks to effexor xr..not that thats all bad I could use some weight loss. bright side of everything right. My best friend comes over last night telling me she can't be trusted not to kill herself, so as unstable as I am I take her to the ER. Thankfully I am not suicidal. I don't want to die does that make sense. I can cut myself to shreds but don't want to die. She was of course admitted and now I have her son.
I miss her.
Just needed to vent. Thank you.
KL

Listen - you are a wonderful friend. You were able to take care of a buddy in distress even when you yourself are having a bad time. Be patient with your meds - it takes too long for comfort but relief is coming. Please believe that you will feel better - hang in there.

(Nice to meet you, KL! I'm also on effexor xr - what a trip, eh?)

you miss her, but she's safer there, and you were a great friend. Make sure you give yourself some time to think about *you*, you deserve it.

I SI, even though I'm not 'supposed' to, but for now, that's our way of coping, and that's ok until we figure out a better way. Try and keep safe tho (clean blades and not too deep). Cutting can be a way to try to keep living, as well as a way to die. Be kind to yourself, and you can vent here any time you want - it's one of our favourite past times!

Hi KL,
I'm really happy to meet you here.

I know something of what you are telling us here. I SI also. I have managed to avoid it for the past few weeks. I had a hospital stay a few weeks ago, and that was a good point for me to stop.

I'm also on Effexor, and a whole bunch of other meds. I guess the most important lesson that I've learned about the meds is to keep taking them. If some of the side-effects are uncomfortable, talk it over with your doctor. Effexor is REALLY tough to come down from.

You are a really good friend to have helped your friend out that way. I think that only those of us who are going through this stuff can really understand what it's like.

Please keep posting here, it's a great place.

Dee.

Hi, KLB.

You are a good friend, but make sure to take care of yourself, too.

Feel free to vent to your hearts content!
