New year vitamins

Posted by LlurpsieNoodle on January 7, 2008, at 6:15:45

okay- before I get started allow me to say that I'm poor.

I've ddecided to get serious about my vitamins this year.

Here's what I have at home and will be taking. anything else you would add? no health problems besides a genetic anomaly that causes clotty blood (hence aspirin). mental health issues include depression and anxiety. mental health meds and psychological issues currently cause trend towards overweight...

happy new years!

tonalin CLA (1200mg- do I need enteric coated?)
aspirin 81mg
green tea- 3 cups a day
multivitamin no iron
calcium 1000mg
vitaminC 1000mg
vitamin A 300% RDA
Vitamin D 300% RDA
Vitamine E (mixed tocopherols) 300% RDA

If you could add another vitamin/supplements I would be grateful. Idon't wanna spend more than 1dollar a day on additional vitamins

thanks,
-ll

I take magnesium, which helps a lot with anxiety symptoms. I mostly notice it when I forget to take it!

I also take Evening Primrose Oil for PMS symptoms, and it helps with emotional lability. I take it every day of the month.

Those are my faves in addition to a really good multivitamin (V2000) from Solgar, which I buy when it's on sale. I can usually find it for 20% off.

I just started using the same Mvi solgar. Solgar has been around a long time. Shaklee was my favorite but hard to get as need a distributor unless it's changed. Phillipa ps just added Deplin per pdoc.

Hello Lurps

Mild AD effect?

Could it therefore be making insomnia worse for me?

I doubled the dose, as one tends to do with these things.

Still, on some forum or other I read about someone who was taking a couple of grammes a day, so I thought 50mg/d would be OK.

But maybe that's what's doing it?

Nothing like shooting yourself in the foot, hey?
