Small miracle-- I exercised!

Posted by Tabitha on November 22, 2004, at 0:58:55

I got one of those inflatable exercise balls with a DVD. First off, it was almost a workout just inflating the thing with the tiny hand pump that comes with it, then prying the stopper out a couple times to add more air. But then I actually did some exercises with it for most of an hour. Somehow the big green bouncy ball makes exercising slightly more fun. It was actually really good for supported backbends, and forward bends.

Now it can roll around the room and serve as a visual reminder to exercise. It's much more friendly looking than an exercise machine. Oh, and it makes a good footstool for watching TV.

Hello Tabitha..

I thought of buying one of them but my cat would probably burst it...is the rubber tough?

It's pretty tough. You can sit on it and all. I think a cat would probably be scared of it.

I think from using the handweights-- Yay! Go me.

(I haven't exercised at all for like a year, and haven't exercised regularly for like 4 years, so this is progress!)

Yay you!!! » Tabitha

I so want one of those balls. There was one in my office in Australia and I used it as a computer stool (makes you sit up all nice and straight). I'd also lie on it and roll around, even fell off it once or twice - good fun!

You can even do it while you are watching TV... And it is not toooo strenuous. Of course I say that not having done any real exercise with it...
