I've been taking Sertraline (zoloft) for the last 2 months and it just stopped working (poop-out).
Sertraline has done wonders for me and it was the only thing that was effective with my depression .
i've talked to my Doctor about my problem and he suggested that i may up the dose from 50 mg to 100mg
doing so didnt help me at all now im getting headaches
Coffee helped but it was only temporarly .
i dont know what the problem is it used to work now it doesnthas anyone experienced this before? any advices?
Thanks

Best immediate thing to try that I can think of without upsetting the cart very much is to add Nortriptyline to it. It goes very well with zoloft usually, speeding onset when started together, reversing poopout, and providing a more complete long lasting therapy. Definitely worth a shot before doing anything else more drastic. I mean, I could think of a lot of different ways to go at this point, but I can't think of a single thing better than adding nort.

I think actually it *is* a little drastic, given its side effect profile. I would try bupropion/Wellbutrin in combination with Zoloft first, if that doesn't work then I would try Remeron + Zoloft.

Thank you very much for you'r replies guys , but i have another question regrading the side effect profile of zoloft .
what is the best way to avoid the diarrhea associated with the drug except to discontinue it (i really don't want that)?
Im extremely happy with zoloft and it was the only drug that really worked for me, and i really dont want it to loose its affect on me , but i missed the feeling i got when i first taking it i dont know if my body adapted or something but is it possible for zoloft to not loose its affect and do you have any recommendations for my next visit to Doc ? i think Tricyclic SRI works the best for me
