I have taken all three meds at some point in time, although I don't think I ever took Lamictal with Abilify. I took/take these meds for treatment resistant depression and anxiety. In my experience, neurontin was very subtle and helped my anxiety a little. Abilify was much more potent and really knocked out my anxiety and depression. I was hesistant to try it at first becuase it was an antipsychotic, but in retrospect, I wish I would have taken it sooner. It is my wonder-drug! :)

Best,
EE

I don't mean to distract from the thread, but I was curious, what other meds are you taking? Is it just abilify, or something else with it? What is your dose?

Right now I'm on a combo of Abilify (20mg) Lithium (600mg) and Lexapro (20mg). It has been a really effective combo for me after trying so many others. The down-side is that I do experience some daytime sleepiness (which my pdoc doesn't seem sufficiently concerned about).

If you have any other ?'s, just let me know!

Best,
EE

I currently take Lamictal and Neurontin for seizure disorder and peripheral neuropathy (namely, my feet). Both serve as anti-convulsants and have worked well. The neurtontin also works on blocking the nerve pain.

I know a lot of people have reported marked reactions to Lamictal, but I never had any problem -- even from the get-go. I don't feel sick or tired or suffer from cognitive deficits or "feel weird." I have taken as little as 100 mg/day and as much as 400 mg/day.

I have had side effects with neurontin: If I go over 300 mg/day (and I have been on as much as 1800 mg/day), I have leg edema -- which is uncomfortble and just makes me feel yucky and like not wanting to take it. I inevitably go back, though, because the burning/freezing/numbness/tingling in my feet are intolerable (and my doc says it's unnecessary to suffer when we have something that works for me).

abilify, in conjunction with trileptal and lexapro have made me very sleepy during the day. i do not want to add one more drug into the mix just to wake up!

I had that and got rid of it by switrching from Estriol to estradiol.. if this may apply to u, maybe it will help.
I was also injecting B1 at the same time.. , but I think its the estradiol that got rid of it!
I was told about the estradiol being the cause by a research endocrinologist over dinner one night.. I doubt its "known" research though. She also was female and obviously had worked it out.
The burning is severe isnt it.. like being tied to a stake and burnt from memory..as well as the tingling etc.
Anyway something worked.. or maybe it just went away. I had it for a year or two and on the switch it stopped completely .. may have been coincidence.
Also I think I was trialling Duphaston is it? a type of progestin that inhibits sulfatse I think.. and suspect that may have been part of it too.. as it inhibits conversio to estradiol.. It may or may not ahev been at that time but was around that year or 2?
Sorry poor memory ...
Hope it may help , I though t thought maybe if you were also onestriol for HRT it might be the cause..
Of course IF you are male, pls ignore this!!!!
I don't have the energy or concentration to read much anymore so dont follow all the posts :-)
