Listen i read that this causes mental deteriation, and i am freaking out. Even death! (well that would be nice) I live in misery.
I have waken up at 4:00 and cannot go back to sleep, i just lay there with idle thoughts. Sometimes with thoughts.
I currently take Restoril 30mg and Clonazepam 1mg at night.
I dont know what to do, are barbiturates an option. Amytal, but i have read they have worse withdrawl reactions.
Why is this happening, I have panic attacks the next day.
I please hope this is temporary.
Pray
Matt

It seems people often forget about natural alternatives. Have one or two cups of chamomille tea if you are having trouble sleeping. This will easily put you to sleep for several hours. Chamomille tea is remarkably strong - much stronger than Clonazepam in my experience.

Lol no offense but thats quite a statment.Yess it is known for assisting sleep, but like a med its effectivness will vary on a person to person basis.Chamille tea will NOT easly put me to sleep,at all.I just say this so the person knows its simply an option and doesent run off 4 am looking chamollie tead.Think we need to be careful in how we phrase things, never know how someone is interputing your suggestion.
Aside from that,i agree herbs are good alternaitves,as well as add ons,i myself like kava kava, but many i know hate it.

I dont want to really even bring up the work "barbiturate" to my pdoc. He is in his 70's (cant belive that) so he has experince with the past.
Amytal lasts for about 6 hours. I dont know, because first i heard barbiturtes suppress REM sleep, and eventually they become ineffective.
I do take Prozac 20mg, increases serotonin but i dont know if i need another antidepressant beuase i know serotonin helps with sleep.
I have taken a barbiturate before, pentobarbital. But that was only 1 time.
Does anyone know what really is the best treatment.
I currently take
Restoril 30mg
Clonazepam 1mg nightly

The guy is thinking about putting barbituates in his body in addition to everything else he is taking. Why disregard something that is PROVEN to help panic and insomnia for hundreds of years?
All I'm saying is that we have run the risk of being conditioned that everything has a pharmaceutical remedy. I personally need SSRI's to treat my depression but try to take natural sleep aids to alleviate the concommitant insomnia whenever I can. Sure a 1mg of Xanax will knock me out, but why not try something first that is natural and won't put more strain on your liver first?

Zyprexa will help with sleep and the suicidal thoughts.
