guys, i have a confession, i have a abuse problem

Posted by mmcconathy on March 6, 2005, at 13:57:09

and look what has happned.

I never have it together, and i screw up, and rejected, i see adderall, something to help me, and get it away, but now i have a label "trash"

I have a program in my mind, to go over "just take one more", god, i have destroyed myself.

I have made a point that i will take control, and stop! just as i stoped adderall. I have not ever gone to a re-hab center, and i will never let my self get to that point.

My emotion center is unbalanced, i feel disturbed, putting all my problems to the drug, to make it go away for a while, then just a little more. I have enoght of this primitive instinct, i am a complete wreck.

I am going to stop, this is going to wreck me hard, but but misery comes first before stableness comes.

I dont have a narcotic-seeking personality, i soon need to start Thorazine to maybe help, not many abusers take non addictive medications.

Guys, i just asked for your help, positive, negitive, i dont care. I have really hit the bottem hard.

Hi Matt,

Glad to hear you are okay. To me, it sounds like are kicking yourself alot harder than is necessary. Thats okay though. I do the same thing. I had an abuse problem in the past too and I could relate. Please email me at at nadidas99@msn.com. I think I read that you are from Texas. I am from Texas too. I'd like to talk if you are up to it...

Matt,
I really think you should possibly consider going into either outpatient or inpatient treatment to get some help for your mental state and substance abuse.

I had to do this to myself, it was TOUGH and I had to swallow my pride big time, but it made a difference.

I know the hospital I was in for my mental state, there were other's who were there for both (mental and substance abuse).

You need to also know that you are loved.. God didn't place you here by mistake- you were preplanned and there is a purpose for your life.

I am praying for you.

Hi Matt,

I think you should ask to pick up your Adderall from the pharmacy on a daily basis. That way, you won't be able to exceed the prescribed dose. Lots of people do a daily pick up in the UK, especially for methadone and Subutex but also for other schedule 2 drugs. The doctor writes a special prescription on a blue form and the pharmacist signs it daily when the patient comes in. I don't know how it works in America though. Probably similar but I guess your prescriptions look completely different.

All the best,
Ed.

Or, is there someone who can hold on to the pills and just give you one when it's time. That way you won't be tempted to take more. Fondly, Phillipa

Do you think you can manage to get in an inpatient program? At least for a while. They can get you stabilized on a proper mix of medications while you're there. You can't do quite as much working with medications in an outpatient basis.

Best of luck to you, Matt. I'm glad you're here to work on this problem.

My fear is that I would not make it. Be able to work. Other than that, I would stop all meds.

mm let me see. Sebastian, yes, you are on Zyprexa, and some mood stabilizers, any other anti-psychotics, post them.

I have a additive personality disorder, but i know it and smack it, i used to always and some some, want to take one more.... nevermind.

Zyprexa isnt addicting, is well, ure disorder self-disabling?

Stay on your meds, i have thought about asking about Zyprexa by the way, i heard its not harsh AP.

Are your symtoms intense? i get disconnected, feeling of self very far from reality. I dont know if you feel this, but you dont have to post much, you usally dont post back sometimes.. lol. Do you mind posting some stuff that pops up when no meds around?.....

Hi Sebastian,

Why would it be better? I thought you were doing well on Geodon?
