If you set your email to show full headers, you should then be able to get her IP address. From this you can search here
http://visualroute.visualware.com/
to get her isp.
Dr Bob should also be able to access this. This will, at the least, tell us her service provider. Can you email her message to Dr Bob with full headers on??

That's quite a relief. I'm glad. I hope you'll forgive me if I take the "OK" part with a grain of salt.

In an emergency - all bets are off. It's about safety and keeping people cared for - especially if they can't care for themselves at that moment. The only thing those emails revealed is that Krissy was struggling and in trouble. That information would only be used to help her - which is what this board is all about. It was very brave of her to reach out and very brave of others to take action to make sure she's ok. I hope she's back on the board in a few days so we can continue to get her support and maybe give her a little of what she needs in this hard, hard time.

The very last thing on my mind as I reacted to the threat to her wellbeing was what others would think of me for acting to potentially prevent a tragedy. A misguided sense of loyalty could cost someone their life. Can you think of a worse kind of betrayal than that? What is the only legal reason a health-care professional can break a patient's absolute right to privacy? Whether a sense of betrayal is appropriate or not following such a breach of confidence, I can assure you that you will get over the sense of betrayal. But the alternative?

I apologise Jim for my harsh words. I just felt that if I was in a desperate situation, that seeing my private emails on PB might have made me feel worse, but I have Issues, and it wasnt me. You are a true friend Jim, you DID the right thing for her.

http://www.ecureme.com/emyhealth/data/Acetominophen_Overdose.aspEven without any symptoms, you need to seek immediate attention by contacting Poison Control, calling 911, or going to a hospital. Many individuals have few symptoms early on. Consequently, by the time symptoms develop, severe liver damage may occur, and even death.
I agree with you about suicide. Some people say that you can't stop people that are determined to do it but of course you can. Maybe not forever and maybe not by yourself but people rarely stay suicidal 24 hours a day forever.
I wasn't sure what you meant by the bottle of Tylenol remark but it is such an ugly way to die and it takes a long time. I thought I would put up the reference. I think there should be a warning printed on that stuff for people who only want to cry for help. I found a book on amazon about ways to commit suicide which included a section for people who only want to cry for help on how to make an impressive attempt without seriously damaging yourself! I found that terribly amusing yet practical at the time but no I'm not posting a link. Tylenol is not one of those ways. It can destroy a kid's liver if you don't get treatment early enough.I hope I didn't break the rules about not posting methods of suicide but I meant it as a way Not to commit suicide. I probably misinterpreted your remark too. No offence intended.

I am so glad you posted this about Tylonel. My best friend's brother OD'd on Tylonel. Luckily, he started throwing up and was in the ER within 24 hours. But he still had to be hospitalized for 2 weeks and is now living with a messed up liver. Tylonel is a very scary thing to take too much of.

That would be *sometimes* to the end of that sentence for those of us who still experience some guilt for not being able to prevent. If you've been in that position, you can relate.

That's what she did. It takes a really long time to die from it, so there was an easier chance her mother would find her.

It seems to me you read a lot more into posts--at least my posts--than I put there. I don't take offense, but I do wonder about it.

hey there daizer, your apology is accepted ... you're cool with me ... i'm just grateful you can see my side ... that makes it sweet for me ... and i can see your side ... it certainly could freak somebody out who was already in crisis-mode and perhaps on the brink of disaster ... those concerns make sense to me ... nevertheless we have read posts from folks more eloquent than me about how we must take action to protect our comrades from danger ...
as for crisis-mode, i (guess this was obvious) freaked out when it dawned on me what krissy was saying ... and i Could have been more discrete, but that was beyond me at the time ... but i knew i could come to this board begging for help and someone would help me get a grip ... and that's what happened.
you are good to voice your concerns And it is Very Big of you to make your apology ... i dig that... thanks.
know that i read your note with compassion for your decent intentions which kept any harshness from being felt by me ... i have to hope you felt none from me in my response.
take care friend.

i'm still worried...
i still have some concerns about our friend and i'm hoping that you might be able to reassure me again, Because (hang on daize, here i go again) i just received this from our ms krissy p and for all its positives, it haunts me ...Does this have the foreboding i'm reading into it?
What is this coincidence about the discussion of Tylenol on the board and now in this message?she e-mailed this to a few of us on Tue, 1 Apr 2003 13:45 :
"<?xml:namespace prefix="v" /><?xml:namespace prefix="o" />
You guys- I just NOW saw the posts at PB-Please don't get in trouble with BOB.
I just wanted to tell you how very grateful I am for what you ALL have written here. I will be totally honest with you all and any of you can post this, but please don't cause Bob to start stuff with you all and me-he already hates me enough.
#1) I HATE telling people when I feel this bad-I hate it-it isn't fair to you guys at all.
#2) I appreciate all your support all of it-what God has blessed me with. I love you all so much and I can't post so here is an email.
I am taking Tylenol 3's not for the pain-but to sleep away these feelings. I failed again, then again, and again.
I make me sick-I wish life weren't like this-It's all me-I can't handle it and I've been through so much therapy and med combos you think I would get it.
#3) I can't express my gratitude enough!!! What beautiful, caring, honest, smart, loveable people I met on the internet-NOW my friends for always and always.
I am going to lie down now, yes, with the help of Tylenol 3, but please know I love you all and somehow, some way, I'll get through this.
Kristen
PS I'm not offended by any of the posts re: my "privacy" I put my email up weeks ago before this block happened with Dr. Bob.
PSS please tell SBOTRAN that I am sorry for bringing up the issues of wanting to die-some peole it is a trigger, as well as with any of you, I am sorry if it was a trigger for any of you
I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!!"
----(end of k's message)----someone tell me i'm ... making things up here ... she's really cool now, right?
~ still worried jim
p.s. kristen, we Love you.
