Thanks so much, Jai. This whole poem arose from me overhearing someone say "cool soul" as she passed me in a corridor at work while conversing with someone else. I fell in love with the phrase, and composed this poem based on the idea of just wanted to build on it. The whole construction was a bit like an oyster building a pearl around a grain of sand. I knew I'd have "cool soul" on the brain until I gave the description a home in verse. I still have no idea what the hallway conversation was about, but then that's neither here nor there -- "cool soul" means something else now. Ta. ;) Atticus
