poem ... Ethereal Boogie-Woogie Blast

Posted by Atticus on January 22, 2005, at 18:42:17

Ethereal Boogie-Woogie Blast

Gabriel blew a blue note
Of purest too-cool soul,
An ethereal boogie-woogie blast
Of heavenly rock-and-roll.
Jimmy the Weasel knew enough
To put his life on hold,
Just stood, his tongue stuck fast
Upon life’s frozen metal pole.
Saw that flipping on the Crips had been
A fool’s gold kind of bold,
And the nine-millimeter messenger
Left its message in a hole
Of red-tinted punctuation, a period,
The end of his story told.
God said, “Hi, c’mon in, Jim,
I’ve just made a Jell-O mold.”
