Well, I do still have the occasional Effexor-spawned nightmare (and it's easy for me to differentiate these from pre-Effexor nightmares because of their unbelievably exhausting duration and plot complexity). But there's not the waking world's sense of depressive paralysis as to what to do or how to respond to given situations. These dreams tend to require me to think and act very fast on my feet and improvise one solution after another at a rapid pace. When the same plotline stretches over a period of eight hours, it's like being trapped in the most complex video game I've ever encountered. I have a much higher degree of efficacy in my dreams than when I'm awake. I feel like I did before the biochemical storm broke in earnest in 1996. Atticus
