poem...Two and one

Posted by malthus on August 31, 2004, at 20:02:34

Two red tongues of fire
tied to the same stem
move near each other and, upon kissing
form a single flame;

two notes from the harp
at the same time the hand forces out,
and in the space approach each other
and harmoniously embrace;

two waves that come together
to die upon a shore
and that, on breaking, crown each other
with a plume of silver;

two long streets of mist
that from the lake rise up
and, on joining there in the sky,
form a white cloud;

two ideas that flow evenly;
two kisses that at the same time explode;
two echoes that are bewildered
that is our two souls.
