My family: from my dear ol da's ancestors came from County Sligo. They were farmers that were against the government.
My mothers ancestors came from County Mayo. They were the unusual folks in my life. Lot's of redheads. Copper in the blood. Both sets of families came over during the famine and some ended up in Canada on the death boats. So a little bit of French got in the blood.
But we survived....we made it!!!I am so glad you did too.
