One issue that comes up for me is my credit rating ... and it's very low. My hubby has admitted to intentionally wrecking us financially out of irrational anger towards me. Two years ago he dragged us through bankruptcy again. I do now have more control over the finances and he's agreed to it but his jealousy, insecurity and bipolar disorder still are active (the latter is under treatment) and he has been known to delete messages from clients. I've changed my voice message box to a PIN number that only I know now.
In any industry related to finance, and it's amazing how many are, the BK is a wipe-out. Other industries such as software or Information Management or technology are also freaky about that sort of thing. I'm not quite sure how to handle it. I have an excellent record otherwise - high character, excellent driving, absolutely no trouble w/law at all in my entire life. Haven't even used an illicit drug!
I might have an inteview coming up - trying to figure out what to say and when to say it re credit. Any finance people or HR people who have suggestions? Thanks!
