About the Effexor XR Withdrawal

Posted by MoparFan91 on March 10, 2005, at 4:00:00 [reposted on March 10, 2005, at 23:09:53 | original URL]

Ok, I've noticed that I've been seeing a slew of posts about people having problems withdrawing from Effexor. I have several questions:

What symptoms do people typically have during Effexor withdrawal?

How long does one have to take the drug to get to the point where withdrawing from it will be difficult?

What is the dosage threshold for having withdrawal problems?

I wanted ask this because a psychiatrist one time asked me if I wanted to take Effexor XR to help with depression. I wasn't sure about it. But if I ever need an antidepressant again, and another doctor asks me if I want to try Effexor, I wanted to know what the withdrawals are like.

All I've heard is that they are a pain but not sure why. Could anyone clarify?
