I remember once getting down to .l25mg of xanax every other day. When I reached this point I couldn't get past it. My pdoc at the time suggested that it was having a placebo effect. That was not true. I would start to feel the beginnings of panic. I have to add that I have been on one or another benzo for over 30yrs. My mother took them, my father, my sister, her daughter, my son. I believe some people need them in different amts throughout their lives. Maybe it's genetics. After all Bipolars don't question the need for meds. Everyone is different. Spriggy don't worry about what you're on now. You need to recover from your ordeal. And, you can't even find a pdoc.
