So you seem to be saying that the IV morphine had a delayed (ie after you stopped taking it) and beneficial effect on your sleep, mood and prostate.
I can't see why this should be so, but morphine seems to have put you in a state of grace (for want of a better expression) for a week. Someone in your situation might miss the morphine after leaving hospital.
It's not the single most important drug in the world for no reason. You know how if doctors are asked what drug they would take with them to a desert island, they always say morphine.
But perhaps it's something to do with your heart condition?
