What else to try?

Posted by blanding on June 8, 2004, at 19:31:58

I'm on the TCA trimipramine (50 mg) and the SSRI sertraline (75 mg).

I wouldn't want to do without this combination, yet I'm lacking motivation to take care of everyday chores such as cleaning my apt., taking a shower or brushing my teeth. Though benzodiazepines such as diazepam or alprazolam give me the necessary "kick", willpower and motivation to do so, I've been hesitant to use them on a daily basis for fear of addiction.

Is there anything that might act similar to the benzoes in my case, perhaps another antidepressant or nootropic drug?

Thanks for any feedback!
