Once in a while I get extreme chest pain. It makes me think I'm having a heart attack, but before I jump to conclusions I ask myself a few times.
First I ask myself if I'm having trouble breathing. If the answer is NO, it's very unlikely to be a heart attack, just gas pain.
Second I ask myself if I an feeling nauseous. Again if the answer is NO, I think it's very very unlikely to be a heart attack and is just gas pain.
Then I take a couple of gas relieving tablets to break up the gas bubbles in my digestive tract and wait.
If I burp and feel better after an hour or so I pretty much know for sure it was not a heart attack.
I know that you know it as gas pain for you so I'm guessing you were not fearful about your life?
I find the gas tablets work really well.
