Your summers are humid, perhaps? Dry heat is fine with me but I feel unwell in humid heat
Here (where I live) the difference between the very highest temp and the lowest would be less than 30C, way less than yours?
I recall Deneb saying that when the weather was warm, around freezing, she could avoid wearing a coat outside.
The coldest I have ever been in was -15C in Prague a long time ago, before the wall came down and before public buildings were heated. It was a holiday for us to an unknown and forbidden place, we drank the contents of the room bar fridge, and then I had the strange sensation of not being able to speak properly. The extreme cold and the alcohol prevented me.....the muscles of my face would not do what I wanted them to do. Prague then felt like a fairyland ruled by evil wizards.
But you have had some extreme weather...that hurricane was unprecedented?
Australia is meant to be one of the places to watch for climate change because our climate is extreme and varied anyway, and dry.
