Sigismund/Anyone - comments on weather talk?

Posted by Kath on September 30, 2009, at 20:15:33

Hey Dec, In another post, talking about accents in England, Manic said that for:

>"I say old boy isn't the weather horrid"

Manic would say:
"heyup buddy aint the weather piss poor."

So, what would you say in Australia?

In Ontario, Canada, I might say,
"What an awful day" or
"Jeez, what crummy weather" or if I'm talking with my son, I might joke, "Yo, nasty day, eh?"

I know Canadians get teased about saying 'eh?' but I don't really know people who say it much unless they're joking. Well, I might say something like, "Awful weather, eh?"

Comments from other locations most welcome

Kath
