No way!!! Freaks me out. When I had to get one a few years ago (for colonoscopy meds) I put an Emla patch (numbing patch) on before going to hospital. It was a student nurse & I told her attending supervisor I was terrified & could she please hold my other hand!! She did. :-)

Didn't hurt. I don't mind other needles too much, but I think it's the thought of the IV. Isn't it thicker??
