I think you need to ask yourself, what is the evidence?

I think this really means you were embarrassed. That's OK and understandable.

Which I think takes some courage. Good for you!

What evidence is there for this? You know how you felt and this is your fear, but you can't know what someone else is thinking based on your own feelings.

Maybe if this happened over and over, all day long, every day, they might wish that. But most people in most jobs have their off moments and bad days, and here they've simply seen one of those moments.
