I guess I'm not most people. :) (Now who's being arrogant? lol.)
Maybe it's because my mother believes the most unlikely scenarios. And yes, I might mock her myself, because she's my mother. But I also know she has many fine qualities and knows a lot about things not connected to those interests.
I wouldn't globally call her an idiot or nutcase. Ok, I might, but only because I'm her daughter and it's sort of my job. I certainly wouldn't discount the rest of her when I'm being fair to her.
