Well, we all put out certain auras and energy - and we tend to attract or be attracted to certain auras and energies.
I saw the movie Sleepless in Seattle on re-run recently and in it, the brother of the main female character (Meg Ryan) mentions that attraction between people occurs on a subconscious level, two neurosis finding a compatible neurosis. lol.
Laughing aside, it does occur at a subconscious level - oftentimes we are attracted to persons that we identify with like parents or siblings with the idea of finding a person that can 'fix' (or, arguably to fix) what we did not get from said person we identify with.
