Well, it went okay I suppose. He was a fast talker, but he answered my questions. He showed me a chart with the amount of dopomain (sp) and seretonin in all the meds and how zoloft would be better than my present combo of prozac and wellbutrin. When I told him I tried it 10 years ago and it was okay but not great, he said they didn't know they had to use a higher dosage back then. So I told him my only concern is a while back I made the switch to Lexapro and my doc made me stay on it for 6 months and it was horrible. He said, oh, that's because Lexapro has the lowest dopomain of all! Then he added that most people gain weight on Prozac and loose on Zoloft so then I was like, okay, okay I'll do it! I do remember Zoloft working fairly well way back then, so maybe a higher dose is the answer. Oh, and he gave me the Xanax Rx too. Yea!
So I have to go back in a week, and he said I should be feeling a difference by then (which goes against everything I've ever heard, so we'll see). Plus he wants me to take a glucose test - he said I may need to adjust my diet (I'm sure I do!). So we'll see how things progress. I'll keep yall posted.
