Need a 'car mechanic's' advice

Posted by Fivefires on June 18, 2007, at 23:29:35

After my car is warmed up, it 'halts and dies' as I slow to a stop sign or light.

A service station has told me I need to pay $400 to have a lock out solenoid replaced.

Is this something one could do at home in their own garage.

What does this solenoid look like?

If any1 could direct me to a website, appreciate it.

The Chilton manual for my '94 Chevy Cavalier RS gives no info for my 'automatic transmission'. It only gives info for manuals.

Tks u all, Take care,

5f
