Inner landscape (Meri-Tuuli)

Thanks for the responses, everyone.

Meri-Tuuli, I think you're right about the "inner landscape" thing. Few things make me happy. Take for example when I wanted to get into grad school. Not only did I got into all of the schools I applied to, they were really competitive programs. Yet I didn't feel the least bit happy or satisfied about it! The truth is, there are few things in my life that I find fulfilling or satisfying. This is what I need to work on.

The only thing is that almost *everyone* I'm around makes more money than me. My friends go out to eat all of the time, pursue expensive hobbies, etc. Meanwhile, I am an expert at finding discounts and freebies. I "get by" (barely) but I would sooo much like to have more spending money and to not always have to struggle.

To put things in perspective, I have internet, I have cable, and I have food on the table. It's just that I have few luxuries beyond these. There are worse things in the world certainly, but it's hard to feel that you're worse off than all of your friends.
