Sounds like you're in the "3 pointing back at U" stage.
Ever consider that your friend might be in the same place? When you got 2 people too scared to say "I'm sorry" first because you think the other person is too mad, sometimes nothing ever gets said again.
So just go and say you're sorry.
(... and I'm not sure my grandma ever said that, but it sounds better that way....)
