> I know exactly which movie you're talking about, but I too, have forgotten the title!! I think it had Sandra Oh (?) in it too, she was in 'sideways' as a main charactor.
Yep! I was thinking as I wrote that it had the Asian chic who's character was a lesbian that had invitro and then her girlfriend left her. But that seemed like too much detail to go into.
> Well, if its any consolation, I live in the UK and I'm slightly fasinated by America. You have so much space! And different climates! And national parks!!! And I've only ever been to North East America, specifically Boston (well Cambridge), NY, Cape Cod, and New Hampshire!! It was well nice.
Isn't it funny how the grass is always greener??? I've also been to Cape Cod and lived in Upstate NY when I was a kid. The New England area is so beautiful, especially during the fall.
> I'd love to see the American desert, Death Valley, California. My bf is off to Santa Fe for work stuff in September, I wish we had the money for a travel companion...oh well.
It's pretty pitiful, I haven't seen the two states closest to me, New Mexico and Louisianna. And I've always wanted to see both! I wish I had gone ahead and seen New Orleans before the hurricane, but I will still go eventually. I think the desert would be amazing. I'd love to see New Mexico, Arizona, the Grand Canyon. I've never seen that part of the country. I want to drive down those endless roads in a convertible with nothing but the desert on either side like you see in movies. I don't know why that desolation appeals to me, but it does. I'd also love to see Tennesee and Kentucky. They just sound so beautiful.
>I'll be moving to Finland so thats pretty exciting!!!!
That IS exciting! I'm not ever sure where that is! Aren't we Americans pitiful with our geography? I know I am anyway.I dream that some day I will find the perfect companion that loves impromtu road trips, and will not only want to go, but incourage me to step out into the unknown. I have a friend who along with his wife would just drive to New Mexico for the weekend. Or Yellowstone Park. I was so jealous. I'm almost tempted to go by myself. Especially to Europe or Austailia. Why do those places seem so surreal. It's something I've only read about. Ooh, or Brazil. That would be so amazing.
