Stephen Colbert is such a smart guy, with a very incisive wit. I really admire his show.
On the Wikipedia, his point might have been that lots of people (myself included, actually) didn't know that the information there isn't fact-checked.
Or, at least, not completely, and not until after-the-fact. Certainly, there might be pages that no one challenges, or the challenge process could take time, and some things spread very quickly, esp. online.
So I'll be more careful about what I quote from there, now, although I'm pretty sure much of it is reliable.
This hasn't been his best week. Possibly summer burn-out (or brown-out-- many of which, unannounced, have afflicted this whole city recently).
