I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad. That's too hard for words.
Hang in there. Sometimes even at the worst times, very meaningful experiences come up, that give everything a depth that you hadn't seen. Doesn't make it easier, lets there be something other than simply badness.
I hope your Dad does get better. And you too.
