A lot of us on these boards have problems, but one thing I always take consolation in is not being "one of them."
Sometimes I wish I was normal, having no problems, not caring about anything, but then I look at most "normal" people and change my mind.
I look at some people, and they're just blind to the world. Uptight people. Rude people. Brainless housewives lost in their own worlds tooling around town in their minivans. Testosterone overdosed jerks in pickups going about their drone-like lives. I'm sorry to say it, but I honestly look at some people and I think, "is there really a person behind those eyes?"
Me? I got a lot of problems. But I would never be them. I'm better than that. And most of you reading this are better than that.
One thing about people like us is that we reflect. Really reflect. Something most people don't do. I think that gives us something most people never get.
As Morrissey once put it...
"But even I, As sick as I am, I would never be you
Even I, As sick as I am, I would never be you
Even I, Sick and depraved, A traveler to the grave
I would never be you
I would never be you"
