i'm sorry you had a crappy day :/
just my two cents: people should not be putting profanity on work computers. furthermore, "joking" or not, it is still inappropriate, and even if it's "their" folder, it's still company property. i'm assuming those files are open shares for a reason, so if you have access to them (even if you have to go out of your way to get it), they'd damn well better make sure it's "work appropriate."
if you're worried you won't be able to keep a straight face telling your supervisor about their behavior, you could write that person an email. that's not to say you wont have to talk to the supervisor at some point, but at least getting the worst out of it out of the way with more composure (written) will be a *little* easier so it'll be more understandable if you cry or are otherwise upset.
anyhow, i really think you need to bring this up to a supervisor or human resources or someone. (not sure what kind of place this is or how its organized.) but this is unprofessional inappropriate behavior and you have a right to ask it to stop. your supervisors should EXPECT it to stop.
that's just my two cents. not sure what kinda job this is or anything, but i really would expect better of anyone over the age of 18. and you should too.
good luck. you deserve a more peaceful workplace.
