The evacuation from Houston sounds like a nightmare. But at least maybe there won't be so much death and human suffering like in New Orleans. I haven't heard anything about where they're putting up evacuees here except for the hotels (which are all full).
As far as us getting hit, everything I've seen says we'll be lucky to even get some rain out of this. So I think we're pretty safe on that count. The thing I'm worried about is Tornados! I've been lucky enough to not ever be in the direct path of one, although it has come very close (like the ones Downtown).
I wonder if this is the earth's way of getting back at us for doing so much damage. Nature has a way of getting rid of harmful pests.
