I think we should believe Maxime. It is perfectly understandable to think about Maxime and to wonder how she is doing; however, it is unfair to Maxime and to everyone else to publicly project this sort of fantasy onto her. Maxime and all PB posters are free to come and go as they please, and they are not accountable to us or to Dr. Bob. I am aware that often, when people's lives are better, they spend less time on PB and less time on the Internet in general (unless being on the Internet is part of their job). I've also come across several people who actually feel better when they limit the amount of time they spend here. Some leave permanently, and some stop by only occasionally, deliberately limiting their time here to a quick perusal of the medication, alternative and health boards, to see whether there are any new treatments on the horizon.

As I've said in previous posts, I believe that Psychobabble should exist not just for support and education, but for the purpose of promoting mental health. Support and education should always be in the service of mental health so that we can live better, healthier, more productive lives in the brief time we are given on Earth.

Deneb, I've said this before, and I'll say it again. I think you are a highly intelligent, creative and sensitive person, and I do think it would be good for you to find the very best therapist you can find so you can make the most of your many talents. I suspect that most of us have problems that stem from both physiologic and psychosocial dysfunction. Some of those psychosocial stressors may be current, while others may have occurred earlier in our lives but left deep internal wounds that need to be cared for. It is our responsibility to tend to our wounds, just as we would care for a beloved child or pet.
