What to say . . . First, I have always found Maxime to be straighforward and honest, and I have admired that in her. She doesn't pull any punches. So, I don't think that Maxime would have connocted some ruse about a new job in order to "sneak" off and end it. Although I am not close to her, we did exchange some e-mails, and a couple of those were before she left for her new job. I won't say much, but I will say, as others here know, that she was excited about her new job and the challenges it presented. I think that out respect for Maxime, and her friends on the board, it would have been more appropriate to have asked out of concern whether anyone had heard from her and, if so, how she was doing.
It is obvious that many people here care about you. Perhaps you can return the sentiment by being a bit more judicious in initiating your "trigger" threads. I am not easily triggered anymore, although I have lost a loved one to suicide and have been to funerals to support friends who have lost loved ones to suicide. That being said, every reminder does take me back to the thoughts and memories that I have spent years dealing with. I am sure that there are many others here in the same position. We are all here trying to support each other, trying to make each day a little more bearable and help, in any way we can, others just make it through the day when the struggle seems too hard and not worth it. I understand your need to express your thoughts, no matter how dark they may be at times. All I would ask is that you put yourself in others' shoes before you hit the submit button and think about what effect a "trigger" post may have on members of the community, not to mention three in a row.
So, all that long-winded post was leading to were two simple messages - Respect and Restraint.
