hi Deneb,
my advice is to really prepare for the semester. Not only with books and pens, but with the right support from a P-doc, therapist, and meds as needed. If you're feeling this bad already, it might be time to see your doctor and adjust your meds or increase the amount of therapy you're getting. Don't feel bad about taking meds, increasing doses, or increases therapy. Think of it as doing what it takes to get yourself successfully through college and through life!Don't undermine yourself and your success with negative thoughts & actions... Don't defeat yourself before you start. It's obvious that you're smart and talented, and I'm sure you can do really well if you give yourself a fair shot at school. :)
I think your comment before was interesting...that you get more response from negative than positive posts. Do you think that influences what you post at all?
Think about this: People who are quadriplegics go to college and do well. People with ALS go to college. Blind people go to college...and one blind guy even graduated with honors from medical school! People with severe disabilities go to college. People in their 70's go back to college for fun. There is no reason why you cannot go there and do well, too! You're just as smart as anyone out there. Take heart. You can do it!
